Rainbow Pop Fabric Lanyard

This is my second mikibeads lanyard. My first was a beaded style from a few years ago. I love the look of the lanyard, it’s colourful and cute and matches a lot of my teacher outfits. However unfortunately I don’t love the finish of the lanyard around the neck. The safety pull clasp is definitely necessary in my line of work, but the way that it’s been finished (cut, glued so it doesn’t frey and sewn down) leaves the exposed raw edge of the webbing on the back of your neck and I find it sharp and irritating. I know it’s been been made so the exposed side is suppose to sit up, not against your skin but it moves around during the day, irritates my neck and I end up taking off my lanyard and not having my keys or whistle when I need them. I’ve already found myself on oval duty without my whistle in the few days I’ve had it which isn’t ideal. As someone who sews myself I recommend in future you consider opting for a slightly bulkier seam with the raw edge folded under as it would eliminate the sharp raw edge.
